Partner Terms

Last updated: October 17, 2026

These terms apply when we give you a partner code to share, for example as a creator, a review or "best of" site, or an engineering society. Your code gives your audience 10% off any pass, and you earn 15% of what they pay with it, unless we agree on other numbers with you in writing. You are an independent partner, not our employee or agent, and our Terms of Service cover anything these terms do not.

1. Say that you are paid

  • Wherever you mention or recommend us, or share your code or a link to us (a post, a video, a podcast, a page, an email or a talk), say plainly that you earn a commission on purchases made with your code. If we gave you free access, say that too.
  • Put it with what you say about us and next to the code or link, where people see it before they buy, in plain words and in the language of the post, such as "I earn a commission if you use my code." In a podcast or video, say it out loud near the start (and in a video, show it on screen too), and repeat it during a livestream. A note only in your profile, in the comments or behind a link is not enough. Neither is a word like "affiliate", "partner", "sp" or "collab" on its own, or a platform's paid-partnership label without your own words.
  • The law requires this; in the US, the Federal Trade Commission explains how in its Endorsement Guides (see its Disclosures 101). We check what partners publish about us, and we will ask you to fix or remove anything that does not disclose or that says something untrue.

2. Say what you really think

Your review never has to be positive. Nothing we pay depends on what you say about us: a sale earns the same commission whether you praise us or criticize us. Do not describe experience you have not had, promise results such as passing an exam, quote figures we have not published, or suggest that we are official or endorsed by NCEES.

3. How you may share it

  • No bidding on our name. Do not buy search ads on "fetope", "FE to PE Prep" or any spelling of them, and do not use our name in ad text, domain names or account names.
  • No spam. Share your code only where people chose to hear from you: no unsolicited email or messages, no fake accounts or reviews, and follow the rules of each community you post in. Any email you send about us must follow anti-spam law (in the US, the CAN-SPAM Act), including a working unsubscribe link.
  • Do not post your code on coupon or deal sites. Your own purchases do not earn commission.

4. Payment

  • Commission is your percentage of what each customer paid with your code, after the discount and less any refund or chargeback. Commission on a sale under dispute waits until the dispute is decided.
  • We pay monthly: a month's commission is paid by the end of the following month, once the refund window for every sale in it has passed. A balance under $20 carries over to the next month.
  • With each payment we tell you how many sales it covers, what they paid and any refunds, but never who bought. If a sale is refunded or charged back after we have paid you for it, we take that commission off your next payment.
  • We pay in US dollars, by bank transfer or another method we agree on. Before paying, we may ask for the tax forms the law requires and hold payment until we have them; your own taxes are your responsibility.

5. Ending it

  • Either of us can end the partnership at any time by email. We then switch off your code and pay what you earned on sales made before the end, on the usual schedule, even if it is under $20.
  • If you break these terms, we may end the partnership at once and withhold commission on sales that came from the breach.
  • If we change these terms, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies. A change never reduces commission you have already earned.
