Requirements differ by state
Boards vary on total years required, whether experience must be under a licensed PE, how graduate degrees substitute for years, and how many references must be PEs. The tracker has summaries of the rules of 12 state boards, each checked against the board's own statute, rules or published pages: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. For any other state it shows the NCEES Model Law baseline and labels it as such, so confirm the details with your board.
